My Bio
Well hello! I am currently 53 yrs old (today is 6/10/08), and a widow of 4 yrs. Was married on a Valentine's Day, 28 yrs in all. 3 kids - Chris (30), Steve
(29), and Billy (25). Billy is who I stay with. We live in the lower level of a house right next to 80/94 and the Indianapolis Blvd exit north, in Indiana,
about 20-30 miles from Chicago. Good thing someone thought of sound barriers, it is right at the other end of the block, lol.
I am mainly here on Yuku for Monkeeland, been hanging around this board almost 2 yrs. It is a great board not only in regards to other Monkee fans I have met and/or interacted with, but also it has a little bit of pop culture weaving in and out of its' topics and forums. I was going on 13 when I became a Monkees fan, way back in 1967. Micky's my favorite one, but I love them all. I have seen the Monkees minus Peter in April of 1969 in Chicago, then skip all the way to the past 10 years....I have seen Davy in a concert in '99, Micky in '00, the 3-kees in '01, Peter in Aug of '06, Micky in Oct and Dec in '06 in Pippin, Davy in '07, and then Micky this past Jan of '08. Met them each time, all but Micky in '00.

My Occupation
Alas, my main job has been phased out due to my husb passing, so now I am a displaced homemaker. But I have also worked over the years part-time in retail,
fast food (Burger King - I can make them whoppers blindfolded, lol) and in housekeeping (hotel/motel).
My Hobbies
Astrology, been a student since the early 80's.
Word puzzles.
Music, movies, tv, internet...I guess most things that keep one connected to the world at large in this information age. (But I don't have a cell phone, just don't think that is really necessary.)
Read most anything I can get my hands on it seems.
People-watching.
Festival-going & concerts in the summer months.

Sounds like you are going to have fun this weekend. No, I'm not going anywhere on vacation but I have some projects to do around the house and I plan on spending time with friends that I don't see often. Have a good night!

My son bought a bunch of fireworks and he and his friends have been setting off a few here and there for the last couple of days.
I may go to my sister's house on Saturday(The start of my VACATION!!) to see my nephew who will be home from the hospital for the weekend. I don't know if you know he has a traumatic brain injury from a car accident. He really needs for us to be there for him.
So what are you doing? :)
